Fort Lee's Family and MWR Outdoor Recreation Center is offering discounted Snow Xperience Trips to Wintergreen Resort. Skiing, snowboarding, tubing rentals and lift ticket packages are available at a discounted price. The last Snow Xperience Trip for the season will take place on March 7. Cost varies. The Regimental Club has several delicious selections from which to choose. Family and MWR Sports department will begin Golf Intramurals on April 6. The coaches’ first meeting will be held on March 16, 5:30 p.m. at the Cardinal Golf Club. The Lee Playhouse celebrates their production of Stephen Sondheim's "Into the Woods, Jr." with an extended run. The smash Broadway show that spins around the characters in the Grimm Brother fairy tales has been tailored for young audiences and has been scheduled for two weekends of performances. Performance dates at the Fort Lee Theater include Fridays, March 20 & 27, at 7 p.m., Saturdays, March 21 & 28, 2015, at 2 p.m.; and Sundays, March 22 & 29, 2015, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 each and are available at the door. Family and MWR Sports will host a March Madness AIT/Student Basketball Shootout Tournament, April 4, 2015, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. inside MacLaughlin Fitness Center. This tournament is a female and male single elimination basketball tournament featuring the 59th Ordnance & 23rd Brigade Soldiers. Tournament participation is only open to AIT/Students. Come out and meet other archery enthusiasts and learn some of their skills. Fort Lee's Family and MWR Outdoor Recreation will be hosting several 3-D Archery Shoot Competitions in 2015. The 3-D archery shoots will be held March 21, *April 25 & 26, May 23, **June 28, July 25, August 29 and September 26. There will be seven divisions of competition on each 3-D Archery Shoot event date. Cost is $10 per adult, $8 per Fort Lee permit holders, $5 per youth(13 – 17 years old) and $3 per cub (12 years old and under). The competitions will start promptly at 9 a.m. at the Fort Lee Outdoor Recreation Archery Range, Building 15014. Pull your clubs out of the closet because the Cardinal Golf Club is hosting its Season Opener Scramble, March 28 at 8:30 a.m. The event is open to all players. Format is a four-person scramble; make your own teams. Entry fee is $35 for Members and $50 for non-members. Fee includes golf, cart, lunch, beverages, and prizes. Participants must be paid no later than March 26. Fort Lee's Family and MWR Outdoor Recreation will be hosting Traditional Archery Shoot Competitions on *April 25 & 26 and August 30. Family and MWR invite you to Texas Hold’em Tournaments at the Sports Zone, Building 3650 on C Avenue. Go all in at the Texas Hold’em Tournaments! Tournaments dates are every Tuesday night from now through October 27. There is a $5 registration fee (one time buy-in each night). Registration is 5:45 p.m. on the scheduled day of the tournament. Child, Youth & School (CYS) Services has several immediate openings in full day child care for preschool age children. The Part Day Preschool program also has openings in both its AM and PM sessions as well as its 2-day and 3-day programs. There are also immediate openings for Full day childcare for Strong Beginnings Pre-K. This is for children ages 4-5. In the Strong Beginnings Pre-K Program, there is an emphasis on kindergarten readiness skills. The teaching methods used will resemble those of a kindergarten classroom. Right Arm Night has moved to the HideAway! The HideAway now hosts Right Arm Night every 3rd Thursday of the month at 4 p.m., starting this month. Right Arm Night is a chance for bosses to bring their "right arm" out to relax and build camaraderie off duty. Drink Specials and FREE snacks will be available with FREE pool for your enjoyment. Leisure Travel Services (LTS) is located in the Regimental Club. LTS offers discounted vacation packages and world class cruises. LTS also assists patrons with finding the best-priced hotel accommodations all over the globe. In addition to providing travel discounts, LTS offers local, regional and national attraction tickets. If you are looking to go the movies or visit a theme park soon then visit Leisure Travel Services, which also offers specially discounted movie and theme park tickets. Family and MWR Bowling Center invites all youth to join the Youth Bowling League. The Youth Bowling League is 9 a.m. on Saturdays, September through May. Youth may sign up at the Bowling Center now.  The youth bowling league is open to all eligible dependents ages 6 and up. The Fort Lee Bowling Center, Bldg. 9040, is located on Battle Drive. Fort Lee's Family and MWR Auto Crafts Shop is here to service you minor auto needs. This is a self-help auto repair facility that allows authorized patrons to perform minor repairs to their vehicles. There are seven bay spaces, four vehicle lifts, tools and a trained instructor on hand to provide assistance. You can get an oil change, rent bay space & equipment and get your tires changed & balanced. Cost varies per service. The Auto Crafts Shop is located in Building 9035 on Battle Drive. We got tickets to the game! Family and MWR Leisure Travel Services sells professional sports tickets all year long. We have Baseball (Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals & Jacksonville Suns), Football (U.S. Navy & Jacksonville Knights), Basketball (Washington Wizards & Washington Mystics), Nascar (Richmond, Atlanta, Talladega & Daytona), Hockey (Washington Capitals) and local sports (Richmond Squirrels) tickets. The Family and MWR Fort Lee Community Library invites you to join us every third Monday of the month, 5 – 6 pm for our Read 2 Rover hour with Caring Canines of Richmond. Caring Canines is a volunteer therapy dog group that encourages children’s literacy through interaction with certified therapy dogs. While initially created for children, this activity is open to everyone.  The dogs enjoy being read to, shown picture books, or just being petted.  This is a free program and pre-registration is not required.  The Fort Lee Community Library is located on the 2nd floor of the Army Logistics University, Building 12420. Ready, aim & splatter! Fort Lee’s Family and MWR Outdoor Recreation invites you to play a game of paintball. Rental packages are only $25 for groups of 6 to 9 people. The rental package includes a marker (gun), hopper, CO2 Tank & Fill-ups, mask, loader case & 500 paintballs! All players must be 12 or older to play. Liability waivers must be signed prior to participation. Personal markers are welcome but will be calibrated to field rules.   Paintball is open Monday through Friday, by appointment only. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. Bring your unit or co-workers out for a fun outdoor team activity. For weekend play, please call Outdoor Recreation for availability. Family and MWR Sports invites you to join our weekly fitness classes. Weekly fitness classes include Aerobics, Boot Camp, INSANITY, Spinning, Spin Intervals, Yoga (Iyengar), Yogaworks (Vinyasa), Zumba, Zumba Toning and Workout With Weights (WWW) in the House of Pain. Classes are generally $4 per class unless otherwise noted. A fitness card may be purchased for most classes. Fitness cards are $20 for a10-class punch card. WWW in the House of Pain is a FREE class, however, you must be at least 18 years of age and complete a Microfit Fitness Assessment prior to attending class. Yoga (Iyengar) is FREE for Active Duty Soldiers and Spouses of deployed Soldiers. Classes may be cancelled due to inclement weather or if minimum class participation levels are not achieved. You must be 16 years of age and an eligible Family and MWR fitness facility patron to attend fitness classes with the exception of WWW in the House of Pain (You must be 18 years of age).
