Library Parking:

Monday through Friday during business hours, Library patrons may park in designated Library Patron Parking spaces in the student lot off Jessup or in the back of ALU (Evacuation Road). Library patrons may park in any ALU parking lot after 5 pm Monday through Friday and on weekends.

Read for the Win - Summer Reading Program

Join the Family and MWR Fort Lee Community Library as we commence our annual Summer Reading Program on July 7. This year’s national theme is "Read for the Win". Registration will begin on June 23 at the Community Library. Join us July 7, 10:30 a.m., at Williams Stadium for the 2016 "Read for the Win" Summer Reading Program Kickoff Party. Next, join us July 14, 21 & 28, 10:30 – 11:30 am, at Clark Fitness Center, for our "Read for the Win Story and Craft Hour" (pre-registration is advised). Lastly, celebrate with us as we conclude the "Read for the Win" program at the Lee Playhouse, 10:30 a.m. on August 4, with a special awards ceremony. This program is open to all ages (toddler to adult). Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult for all Read to Win events/activities. All registered participants will receive a free "Read for the Win" t-shirt, instructions for logging books, and a schedule of events at the Community Library. This is a FREE program. Game Night at Your Library

Join the Family and MWR Fort Lee Community Library as we host "Game Night at Your Library" on the 4th Tuesday of the month, 5 - 6:30 p.m. Challenge anyone - friends, family, co-workers or rivals to a game at the library. There will be an assortment of new & classic board games to play, including the traditional game of chess. This event is FREE. All ages and levels are welcome to play. This evening will take place in the Fort Lee Community Library located on the 2nd floor of the Army Logistics University, Building 12420. Call (804) 765-8095 to get more details.


Read 2 Rover!

The Family and MWR Fort Lee Community Library invites you to join us every second Tuesday of the month, from 5:30 – 6:30 pm for our Read 2 Rover hour with Caring Canines of Richmond. Come out and enjoy an evening of reading with, or showing picture books to, certified therapy dogs from Caring Canines. Caring Canines is an all-volunteer therapy dog group that encourages children’s literacy through interaction with the dogs. Open to all ages, come by and pet the dogs. This is a free program. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For more details, call (804) 765-8095.


Preschool Story Hour

SPECIAL NOTICE: Toddler Storytime will not be held, June 16 - August 16.  Please register for and participate in the weekly 2016 Summer Reading Program events and activities for all ages.

The Family and MWR Fort Lee Community Library is hosting Preschool Story Hour for children (Preschool age and up) Wednesdays, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. There will be limited seating availability so please arrive early. Pre-registration is required. Register in person or call the library. The Fort Lee Community Library is located on the 2nd floor of the Army Logistics University, Bldg. 12420, 34 Street (near the Mahone Gate). This is a free event. Children, Tweens & Young Adults! 

New books are always available at the Library. The collections of fiction, non-fiction, and biography are updated monthly. While you’re searching for books, take a minute to check out some of the latest DVD releases—educational and feature films are available. Patrons 15 years old and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
